United And Real Face Tough Blow-In Haaland Race

Real Madrid and Manchester United hopes of signing the Norwegian Youngster Erling Haaland has supposedly met a crushing blow.

Manchester United and Real Madrid to lose out on Haaland

This came into the picture after Bild newspaper made it official that the strikers’ release clause of 65million pounds will not take effect until 2022. Precisely two seasons from now.

The Norwegian Erling Haaland caught the eyes of European top-flights after a mind-blowing spell with Red Bull Salzburg. Manchester United reportedly made a move for Haaland during the January transfer window. However, they failed to secure his services after he opted for a stride to the Signal Iduna Park.

The Manchester United Boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer has and still is a huge admirer of the Norwegian teenager. He proved that last December as he reportedly flew to Salzburg in an attempt to convince the youngster of a move to Old Trafford.

Spanish giants Real Madrid as well tried to sign the Norwegian, all ended up as an exercise in futility.

Nonetheless, both United and Real have reportedly rekindled their interest in the 19year old striker. However, if both teams still wish to secure his services, they would have to do so at a sell-out price that suits Dortmund, instead of the initially rumoured 65million pounds buy out clause.

This is a huge blow to both Manchester United, Real Madrid and any other team looking to secure his services, as his initially rumoured release clause would have played an important role in his move away from the Signal Iduna Park.

On his part, the Norwegian youngster, came out a few weeks ago to express contentment playing for Dortmund. He went further to remind the general public of the four years still left in his current Dortmund deal.

Due to the recent bidding war caused by the teenager, Dortmund may well be persuaded into offering Haaland a more profitable deal in other to prevent him from leaving. Although currently, the situation of things do not suggest that, putting into consideration the hefty profit expected from a possible sale.
