The Khvicha Kvaratskhelia form was on display in the UEFA Super Cup final once again as Paris Saint-Germain beat Aston Villa 2-1. The Georgian scored the Parisians’ first goal of the match.
PSG have been the best team in Europe by some distance during the last two seasons, and Kvaratskhelia’s form has played its part in it.
As PSG embark on a journey to ensure a third consecutive treble next season, the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia form will be an important component.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Form: How the Georgian Has Emerged as One of the Best in His Position
Kvaratskhelia is only 25 and has spent a total of five seasons at Napoli and PSG so far.
While his stint at Napoli was not as productive as his at PSG, he gave indications of his class at the Italian club as well. He won the Serie A title with Napoli, which is not an easy thing to do.
Kvaratskhelia has played in a total of 188 matches for Napoli and PSG so far, scoring 58 goals in them. However, the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia form in the Champions League for PSG has been wonderful in particular.
In the 2025/26 season, the Georgian winger scored 10 goals and registered three assists in 16 Champions League matches. He also won the penalty that led to PSG’s equalizer against Arsenal in the Champions League final.

Is Kvaratskhelia Currently the Best in his Position?
There are other contenders like Vinicius Junior, who has been very good for eight seasons for Real Madrid. Then, there is Luis Diaz, who has turned up the heat since joining Bayern Munich and was good for Liverpool prior to that as well. Jeremy Doku has been good for Manchester City as well, with dribbling skills and explosive pace.
However, barring Vinicius, none of them has seen as much success in continental football as Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian has repeatedly risen to the occasion in big matches and made his presence felt with his runs through the inside-left channel.
There are more aspects of his game that favourably compare him with the likes of Doku. While the Belgian winger is pacey and explosive, he cannot combine with the centre-forward and the midfielders as well as Kvaratskhelia.
The same is true for Diaz, who has a tendency to hold on to the ball for too long. In addition to that, Kvaratskhelia’s form in big matches separates him from the rest. The Georgian has thus emerged as one of the most important players in European club football. It is a pity that he did not play at the World Cup as Georgia failed to qualify.
Kvaratskhelia will look to attain more success with PSG next season and is likely to get some as well. As of now, the job for Luis Enrique will be to motivate him to deliver more quality performances.
