Liam Rosenior Chelsea struggles keep going on at the moment. The appointment of the manager at the club was done with a lot of hope, but the Liam Rosenior Chelsea struggles continue. The club management, who are not known for their tendency to be patient with their managers, appointed the 41-year-old with a six-year contract a few months ago.

However, so far, the experiment has hardly seemed to be a success. Liam Rosenior Chelsea struggles have made his position vulnerableat the club. The current form of the Royal Blues means that they will find it difficult to qualify for Champions League next season.

Liam Rosenior Chelsea Struggles Have Intensified Of Late

Chelsea have lost five of their last six matches across all competitions, with their 7-0 win over lowly Port Vale at the FA Cup being an anomaly in this regard. Liam Rosenior Chelsea struggles have been evident against quality teams, with big defeats to teams like Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Everton in the recent past exposing their plight.

The situation, which was not very good to begin with, has been worsened by the fact that Rosenior decided to drop Enzo Fernandez, one of the few proven players Chelsea have at their disposal, because of a recent off-field controversy.

Fernandez’s absence did not help the Royal Blues against Manchester City, with the Cityzens running riot at Stamford Bridge to score three goals in the second half. The last good performance for Rosenior’s men against a quality team came on March 5, when they beat Aston Villa 4-1 away.

Rosenior has not yet been able to carve a separate identity for his team. The team continues to play with a 4-2-3-1. They actually have good attacking players like Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Estevao in their ranks. Moises Caicedo, who has been given a new contract, and Enzo Fernandez are quality midfielders. Palmer’s form, however, has not been as good as is expected from him.

However, their defence, especially their central defence, is not that good. Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin have not been able to inspire confidence despite having played in 145 and 68 matches for the club, respectively.

The Blues have failed to find suitable replacements for Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger since their departure a few seasons ago. Rosenior has not had a proper transfer window so far, but, unless he makes proper defensive reinforcements this summer, it is unlikely that his team will be in a position to challenge for the Premier League title.

Chelsea and Liverpool Are Fighting for a Champions League Spot Next Season

Five English teams will play Champions League football next season, and it seems that only one of Chelsea and Liverpool will finish in the top five this season. Chelsea trail the Reds by four points at the moment, with six rounds of matches to go.

It should be difficult for the Royal Blues to erase that deficit. However, the success or failure of Liam Rosenior at Chelsea cannot be measured so quickly. The Liam Rosenior Chelsea struggles, however, might indicate that he is out of depth in his job at the moment.

He should still be given a whole season and a transfer window to show his managerial abilities. However, the job that lies ahead of him is anything but easy.
