Still, Cherki is not as forceful in his runs with the ball into the middle third as De Bruyne was. The Belgian took time to evolve his game and became the much-cherished finished product during his decade-long stint with the blue half of Manchester.
Cherki still has time to grow as a player, and one can hope that he will be able to play his role well for the Cityzens in the coming years. With young talents like Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi behind him and a dangerous finisher like Erling Haaland in front, Cherki should get enough scope to make his game flourish for the Cityzens.
