Marcus Rashford Transfer: He Is Still a Quality Player
Rashford will turn 29 in a couple of months and remains one of the leading left-wingers in the world. He is not right up there with the very best in the business like Vinicius Junior, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Luis Diaz, but is not far behind either.
If Rashford is not the best left-winger in the world, he is definitely not the worst either. Especially for a club like Manchester United, which could really do with a quality left-winger, Rashford remains an asset.
Man United had been playing Matheus Cunha on the left flank last season, but the Brazilian is not a specialist left-winger and plays as a centre-forward for his country. Therefore, keeping Rashford should certainly not harm Manchester United, if one strictly goes by footballing parameters.
However, there are a few off-the-pitch equations that have caused the Red Devils to part with the English left-winger temporarily.
Rashford enjoyed loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona and scored a combined total of 18 goals in 66 matches for those two clubs. He also had 14 assists for Barcelona last season and also managed to win the La Liga title, his first domestic league title as a footballer.
Rashford’s numbers for clubs other than Manchester United during the last season and a half are not staggering, but they are not very bad either. Rashford has played in 492 club matches in his senior career and scored 156 goals.
His goal-scoring frequency could certainly be better, but, again, there are not too many active players in the top leagues of the world with more than 150 goals in their club careers.

Will Rashford Stay at United?
The Marcus Rashford transfer is on hold at the moment, as he has bade goodbye to Barcelona. It was certainly a good experience for him to play alongside Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski in a team that played breathtaking attacking football.
However, the Marcus Rashford transfer options are limited at the moment. Should Man United decide to sell him, he might prefer to stay in England. Arsenal are a side in search of a left-winger and have been linked with Vinicius Junior recently.
It could be possible that the Gunners go for Rashford, but it does not seem probable. Chelsea have roped in Morgan Rogers, who can play on the left and Liverpool have set their sight on Yan Diomande and already have Rio Ngumoha.
Rashford’s reputation has not been the best of late and hence, Michael Carrick might also have reservations about having him in his team. However, the fact that the Marcus Rashford transfer is still not certain speaks volumes about his equation with the club officials off the pitch. It will be a pity if a player like him does not get to play for a club befitting his stature.
