As we approach Fantasy Football Matchweek 27 of the Premier League, scheduled from Saturday, February 21, to Monday, February 23, it’s essential for FPL managers to strategise effectively to maximise their points.

Injury and Suspension Updates to Note

Bukayo Saka recovered from his injury to feature in both of Arsenal’s Gameweek 26 fixtures, bagging 13 points in total. His teammate Martin Odegaard was also fit enough to feature, but only in the draw to Brentford.

Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes is out with a hamstring injury, with his return not expected until around April 11.

Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has also sustained a hamstring injury. How long he will be out for is yet to be confirmed by the West London club.

      Must-Have FPL Picks

If you sold Saka last Gameweek as I did, I’m sorry. However, considering that the Gunners drew to Wolves and Brentford, a positive result against Tottenham is not likely. Still, Saka (£9.8m) is a solid FPL pick. Stray away from defenders for now as the title contenders struggle to find their footing at this stage of the season.

Chelsea have a favourable fixture against Burnley in a must-win game as they race against Manchester United to finish in the top four. Cole Palmer (£10.6m) appears to be back to his best self, with 32 points amassed in the last two Gameweeks. He is likely to deliver the goods again at Stamford Bridge this weekend. Striker Joao Pedro (£7.7m) is another Blue in good form.

Manchester United’s winning streak came to halt against West Ham last time out. For Gameweek 27, Michael Carrick’s men take on Everton who should be a tougher opponent. However, Bruno Fernandes (£9.8m) and Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6m) are still worth the risk. As for the Toffees, Iliman Ndiaye (£6.2m) and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£4.9m) stand out as good picks.

Other Fantasy Football Matchweek 27 must-haves include Man City’s Antoine Semenyo (£8.0m), West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville (£5.6m) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (£7.0m).
