In less than two days, #MbappeOut has rapidly become one of football’s biggest talking points after sections of Real Madrid fans launched an online petition against the Frenchman, calling for him to be sold following reported dressing-room clashes with teammates and staff, while his lengthy injury absence — which has seen him miss several crucial matches — has further fueled the growing frustration behind Kylian Mbappe’s petition.

However, the most infuriating moment for the Los Blancos supporters was Mbappe’s controversial trip to Sardinia — a move many deemed a lack of commitment and respect for the club during such a crucial stage of the season.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star, now in his second season at Madrid with more than 85 goals in 100 appearances, has found himself at the centre of growing backlash from the fanbase following a series of controversial off-field incidents.

The criticism has intensified to the point where some supporters are already calling for the French forward to be moved on in the summer, labelling him a “toxic presence” in the team.

Others have gone even further, accusing Mbappe of disrupting the balance, chemistry, and fluid attacking rhythm that the team enjoyed before his arrival, with claims that several internal tensions and dressing-room disagreements have stemmed from the club’s attempts to accommodate him within the squad.

Real Madrid Tensions Rise As #MbappeOut Takes Over Social Media

Mbappe’s last appearance for Real Madrid was in a 1-1 draw against Real Betis, where he was forced off in the 81st minute after suffering a hamstring injury.

The French forward subsequently missed Los Blancos’ 2-0 victory over Espanyol, with growing concerns over his availability for the upcoming El Clásico.

While many supporters expected the 27-year-old to be focused on recovery and rehabilitation, controversy erupted after images surfaced of Mbappe on a yacht alongside actress Ester Exposito in Italy.

The photos quickly sparked outrage among sections of the Madrid fanbase, who viewed the “vacation” as a sign of poor professionalism and questionable commitment during a crucial stage of the season.

Some fans even went as far as questioning the authenticity of the injury or if the forward was being cautious ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Rising Fan Frustration Behind Mbappe’s Petition

So far, Mbappe’s petition has gained massive traction, reportedly amassing over 33 million signatures — with Madridistas and non-fans alike joining the movement within just a matter of days.

Another concern among Real Madrid fans has been the team’s lack of silverware this season.

Before Mbappe’s arrival, they were widely regarded as a dominant, trophy-winning machine, but since he joined, they have failed to secure a major piece of silverware since 2024.

Some supporters argue that the side appears more balanced and plays with better cohesion in his absence, pointing out that the matches he has missed have all ended in victories for Los Blancos.

While the French forward remains one of the club’s standout performers statistically, a growing section of fans believes his presence has altered the team’s rhythm and structure, fueling a backlash that has now exploded across social media.

Real Madrid’s Toxic Atmosphere Worsens Ahead Of Title-Deciding El Clásico

At this point, every report emerging from the camp of the 15-time Champions League winners points toward one thing: a full-blown Real Madrid crisis.

Ever since the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, concerns surrounding the affairs of the club have continued to grow, with uncertainty over the dressing room atmosphere, inconsistent performances on the pitch, and increasing questions about the club’s long-term direction.

Tensions in Madrid are said to be at an all-time high, with reports claiming that Kylian Mbappe was involved in a heated dispute with a member of Alvaro Arbeloa’s coaching staff after being flagged offside during training.

Frustration within the squad is also said to be growing over the privileges allegedly afforded to the Frenchman, including repeated lateness to team meals and internal meetings.

Within the last 24 hours, reports of physical altercations and disciplinary breakdowns have further overshadowed preparations for the upcoming El Clasico on May 10, with several senior first-team players reportedly requesting that Friday’s training session be cancelled.

The latest incident involved midfield duo Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouameni, who clashed following a heated training-ground bust-up on Wednesday.

The confrontation allegedly escalated into a physical altercation inside the dressing room, with reports claiming Valverde later required stitches for a cut sustained during the incident.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger — widely known for his aggressive and fiery style — was also linked with separate clashes involving Alvaro Carreras and Jude Bellingham.

One report alleged that Rudiger slapped Carreras during a dressing-room confrontation, although the German defender is said to have apologised shortly afterwards.

Another incident reportedly saw the German international and Bellingham involved in a heated exchange after a reckless tackle in training, forcing coaching staff and players to intervene before the situation escalated further.

At this point, the situation appears increasingly concerning for Real Madrid as they head into El Clásico hoping to reduce the 11-point gap separating them from Barcelona at the top of the league table.

A defeat could plunge the club into even deeper turmoil, potentially handing Barcelona the La Liga title and intensifying the toxic atmosphere already surrounding the squad.

With Mbappe’s petition still circulating, tensions within the dressing room continue to spiral at the worst possible moment.

Due to the unrest within the squad, CEO Jose Angel Sanchez held an emergency crisis meeting at the training complex in an attempt to calm the situation and restore order ahead of the season-defining clash.
